Youth Mission Trip

Youth Mission Trip
Youth Mission Trip
In June 2018, six youth and 2 adult leaders traveled to a Lakota reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

We’re switching gears and making some changes. For the past few years, the youth mission trip has taken place over spring break. For the 2018 mission trip, we have decided to move the trip to the summer. There are more location opportunities and the youth aren’t so constricted by their school calendars and projects.  We are going to venture out and go through an organization called Next Step Ministry. They have a great reputation and many summer trips to choose from.

We will be heading to a Lakota reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. This isolated community sits in the southwest corner of South Dakota near the Nebraska border amongst rolling green hills and endless skies.  Pine Ridge is one of the largest Native American reservations in the country, and faces some of the most deeply rooted challenges.

How can YOU support a youth mission trip?  PRAY!  By far this is the most important thing the congegration can do for our trip. Pray for safety, for the Holy Spirit to move, for the youth to learn and grow, for the community they are going to meet, and more, much more!
