Parker Palmer on Getting Old (Adults) Join with Pastor Dave as we listen to the wise advice of a beloved writer and theologian, Parker Palmer. Nearing his 80th birthday, Palmer offers an empowering vision for all of us. Our primary resource will be Palmer’s recent book: “On the Brink of Everything: Grace, Gravity and Getting Old.” (Fellowship Center)

Sexual Identity and Church, Christianity, and the LGBTQIA+ Community (Adults) This class will help us begin a conversation about the complex issues surrounding sexual identity. How do we move away from seeing the LGBTQIA+ community through the lens of sin? We'll explore how these issues have been central to the harm that many have experienced in churches and in the Christian faith. In keeping with Shepherd's year-long theme of storytelling, we will also share personal stories that will help us to see that all of us -- the LGBTQIA+ community, included -- are real people and real Christians, not just issues. (Office Conference Room)

Catalyst (Grades 6-12) Students are invited to join our youth leader, Ashley Neufeld, each Sunday morning for great conversations about faith. How do our decisions and actions impact others and our relationships with God? Come hear about how we can become a catalyst of change in our homes, schools and communities. (Youth & Children’s Center)

Children (Ages 4 – Grade 6) This winter, our children are continuing to explore Jesus’ teachings. Children will participate in dramatic storytelling, engage in scientific discovery, bake or make wonderful creations, and learn what it means to be loved by God. The children’s class is taught by Cathy Lovejoy. (Youth & Children’s Center)

Nursery (Birth – Age 3) Our youngest children enjoy time to play, hear stories, color, and more, with our Lead Caregiver, Alicia Willson, and our trained teen care givers. Children are welcome to come and go between 8:20 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. (Youth & Children’s Center)
