Genres of the Bible (Adults) There was a time in the not so distant past, when Bibles were printed with each verse beginning a new line of text, creating a sense that the Bible was just a collection of sayings and old stories. About forty years ago, Bibles began to be printed in forms that reflected other forms of literature: paragraphs, indented sections to indicate poetry, and study notes at the bottom of the page. Changes such as these have allowed us to become more aware of the rich diversity of literary genres we find in the Bible. This class with Pastor Dave will explore these genres and demonstrate how our awareness of differing genres may help us interpret the scripture more accurately. (Fellowship Center- Bldg F)
Exploring White Privilege (Adults) What’s all the buzz about white privilege? What does it mean? How does it impact our lives of faith? Join Debby Dillon on a journey to explore how white privilege has affected her life. You may discover some common experiences and have insights to share. As Christians, are we called to address issues of race? Let’s get a little uncomfortable and talk about it! (Office Conference Room – Bldg A)
Catalyst (Grades 6-12) Students are invited to join our youth leader, Ashley Neufeld, each Sunday morning for great conversations about faith. How do our decisions and actions impact others and our relationships with God? Come hear about how we can become a catalyst of change in our homes, schools and communities. (Youth & Children’s Center – Bldg C)
Spark (Ages 4 - 6th Grade) This spring, children will explore the stories of Joseph. Through drama, science, art, and games, we'll discover God's faithfulness and our call to live lives of forgiveness. Cathy Lovejoy leads the children's class. (Youth & Children’s Center – Bldg C)
Nursery (Birth through Age 3) – Nursery care is available during both worship services and the education time. While in the nursery, children hear Bible stories and play together with our fully trained nursery staff. Nursery care is available from 8:15 – 11:45 a.m. every Sunday. Follow the painted lamb path to the nursery in the Youth and Children’s Center. (Youth & Children’s Center – Bldg C)
