Advent Art of Swanson (Adults) Through art, people have often imagined sacred themes and subjects in order to better understand our relationship to the divine. John August Swanson, though a series of narrative silkscreen serigraphs, has used these beautiful works to enlighten our understanding of Advent and the Nativity. Pastor Dave will lead this class in the Fellowship Center.
What's Your Story? (Adults) Together, we'll explore story telling and story listening, stories and culture, and how our own narratives change over time. We'll look at the Bible as a template for storytelling and learn about the special techniques used in bible stories. Choosing from a variety of approaches, we will learn how to identify, shape and craft our own stories. Stephanie Tillman will lead this class in the Office Conference Room.
Catalyst (Grades 6-12) Students are invited to join our youth leader, Ashley Neufeld, each Sunday morning for great conversations about faith. How do our actions impact others and our relationships with God? Come hear about how we can become a catalyst of change in our homes, schools and communities. (Youth & Children’s Center)
Children (Ages 4 – Grade 6) Throughout Advent, children will explore the story of the Nativity as they participate in dramatic storytelling, and creative play. Additionally, children will use our time together to prepare for worship leadership on December 15. The children’s class is taught by Cathy Lovejoy. (Youth & Children’s Center)
Nursery (Birth – Age 3) Our youngest children enjoy time to play, hear stories, color, and more, with our Lead Caregiver, Alicia Willson, and our trained teen care givers. Children are welcome to come and go between 8:20 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. (Youth & Children’s Center)
