Narthex Art Display
Come visit Shepherd of the Sierra - COVID restrictions have loosened up, so the Narthex Gallery will be open to the public each Saturday and Wednesday from 2p to 4p through May 5.  Masks and social distancing are required.

“America in Black” Art Exhibit will show through May 7, 2021.  In celebration of Black History Month, Shepherd of the Sierra Presbyterian Church is hosting an exhibit entitled "America in Black" featuring 28 pieces of artwork from 4 local artists of color.  Celeste Budd, Newcastle, has brought powerful and whimsical expressions in glass mosaic.  Dwight Head, Sacramento, reveals the complex subjects in colored pencil, ink, and cold wax.  His brother, Todd Head, also from Sacramento, has created a unique three-dimensional technique using colored sand and glue creating circular tapestries of Peonies.  The final artist, Celeste Grey is showing five delicate children's book illustrations in watercolor and ink.
