Youth Mission Trip

Youth Mission Trip
Youth Mission Trip
In June 2018, six youth and two adult leaders traveled to a Lakota reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

For the past few years, the youth mission trip took place over spring break. In 2018, we decided to move the trip to the summer. There were more location opportunities and the youth were not so constricted by their school calendars and projects.  We ventured out and partnered with an organization called Next Step Ministry. They have a great reputation and many summer trips to choose from.

We traveled to a Lakota reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. This isolated community sits in the southwest corner of South Dakota near the Nebraska border amongst rolling green hills and endless skies.  Pine Ridge is one of the largest Native American reservations in the country, and faces some of the most deeply rooted challenges.

How can YOU support a youth mission trip?  PRAY!  By far this is the most important thing the congegration can do for our trip. Pray for safety, for the Holy Spirit to move, for the youth to learn and grow, for the community they are going to meet, and more, much more!
